Ski holidays Canillo - pure skiing enjoyment and tax-free shopping!
Canillo
Canillo is the capital city of the region with the same name. Here you'll find a great number of Andorra's traditional old mountain houses, the "borda", many of which include restaurants offering traditional cuisine. In Canillo you'll find several historic churches and chapels, many dating back to the 11th century, lending the region and resort a unique charm. For an après-ski fix, many of the locals swear by the "Camping Pla", which offers great parties and equally good cocktails. Also recommended is the Caldea Spa, Europe's largest thermal spa, which is located on a natural hot spring, just a few kilometres from Canillo.Grandvalira
Located directly at the border to France is the Grandvalira region. It stretches over the two Andorran districts Encamp and Canillo, and presents itself as the largest skiing region in the Pyrenees. Thanks to its great geographical location, quality snow and sunny skiing days are almost guaranteed! The towns and villages in the region are all different, and each has something to offer everyone – regardless if you are planning a family or party holiday. Make sure you still have some space left in your suitcases: thanks to the low taxes, the region is a shopping paradise! A holiday in the tiny nation is always something special – visit Grandvalira and see for yourself!Travel Canillo
