Ski holidays Abtenau - family-friendly ski enjoyment!

Abtenau

Abtenau is the tranquil capital of the Lammertal valley in the Salzburg region. It lies at an altitude of 714 m, approx. 50 km from Salzburg. Abtenau has developed into a "feel-good village" in both summer and winter, which is particularly appreciated by families. It is also the home of double world champion and overall World Cup winner in alpine skiing, Alexandra Meissnitzer, as well as world champion David Zwilling. The illuminated winter toboggan run provides 3 km of tobogganing fun. The ice rink at the Abtenau sports centre is also well worth a visit.

Dachstein West

The Dachstein West region is located in the border region of Upper Austria and the Salzburger Land and is a very popular holiday area for many skiing fans. A gorgeous panorama and diverse, comprehensive winter sports and après ski options attract the region's visitors every year anew. Not only do serious alpine sports stand at the fore; rather, a winter atmosphere for normal skiers and families is also a priority. In addition to wide pistes, cracks will find challenging deep snow runs, e.g. on Zwieselalm. Cross-country skiing fans will find a well established cross-country ski track network of around 223 km in the Dachstein West region.
