Lechtal in Tyrol is a real cross-country skiing Mecca with a varied network of trails and over 190 km of groomed routes. In winter, there are so many trails that there is a suitable route for every ability around Bach. The trails are groomed for both classic technique and skating. For beginners, there are flat and easily accessible routes such as the large Drähüttenrunde (6.3 km) around Hinterhornbach along the Lech. For experienced cross-country skiers, there is the challenging Körberseerunde (5.7 km) on the Falkenkopf with 185 metres of elevation gain. The Gehrwald panoramic trail (2.4 km) in Hinterhornbach is also worth a visit. From there, fans of Nordic skiing always have a great view of the Lechtal Alps. Most of the trails in the Lech Valley lead through snow-covered forests, across wide fields and along the river, making every cross-country skiing tour in the region a unique nature experience.
