At the foot of the Astberg (approx. 1,200 m) and surrounded by the Kitzbühel Alps in the south and the Wilder Kaiser in the north, Going is located at 773 m above sea level. This typical Tyrolean village has retained its special charm to this day and invites visitors to relax. The Wilder Kaiser towers majestically above the village, and some claim that this is where the mountain range is at its most beautiful. On the ridge from Astberg to the Hohe Salve, skiers will find a huge range of slopes, and there are also plenty of leisure activities away from the slopes. Snowshoe hikes under the full moon and an illuminated toboggan run offer a welcome change from alpine skiing. With the Goinger Dorfkirche, which dominates the townscape, the village also has one of the most beautiful Rococo churches in Austria. Another highlight in Going: the famous "Stanglwirt" not only attracts the chic crowd from Munich and Vienna, but is also known for its "Weißwurst-Party" (white sausage party).
