Ski holidays Hochfilzen - Biathlon centre in Pillerseetal!

Hochfilzen

One of the five main towns in the Pillerseetal valley is Hochfilzen. This cosy village with its farmsteads, restaurants and central church tower is located in the middle of the Buchensteinwand Pillersee ski area. The region is blessed with an abundance of natural snow in winter. Hochfilzen and the surrounding mountain ranges are covered with a thick layer of white snow. This is not only good news for skiers and snowboarders, but also for cross-country skiers. Hochfilzen is considered a biathlon stronghold, where the Biathlon World Cup is held every year and Nordic athletes can enjoy countless kilometres of cross-country trails.

Whether in the valley or on the slopes, all winter sports enthusiasts in Hochfilzen are accompanied by a magnificent mountain panorama stretching from the Leoganger and Loferer Steinberge mountains to the Buchensteinwand in the west. This is also where the ski resort of the same name is located, which is closest to Hochfilzen and therefore quickly accessible. It is the perfect starting point for all leisure skiers!
