Ski holidays Kufstein – Cultural hotspot in Tyrol!

Kufstein

Kufstein is the second largest city in the province of Tyrol. The town is a very popular tourist destination, not least because of the picturesque Lower Inn Valley in which Kufstein is nestled. The Kaiser Mountains offer an impressive mountain panorama and the Inn River flows through the middle of the city. Numerous monuments and historic buildings characterise the cityscape and underline the historical significance of the place. The touch of history is also evident in the cultural capital through a whole range of attractions. Probably the most famous alley in Kufstein is the Römerhofgasse in the old town. It became world famous through the song "Perle Tirols" (Pearl of Tyrol). The picturesque street is home to many traditional shops and restaurants, which make a stroll through the town something very special.

Also worth seeing is Kufstein Fortress with its large Kaiserturm tower, which towers over the town on a hill. Thanks to this imposing landmark, Kufstein is also known as the "fortress town". The complex is one of the most important historical monuments in Tyrol. Its architecture and the local history museum located within it are well worth seeing. Kufstein is also home to the world-famous Riedel glass factory, renowned for its fine glassmaking. In the glassworks, visitors can watch the functional wine glasses being made and take them home as souvenirs from the adjacent shop.

From Kufstein, you can reach several ski resorts in just a few minutes, most notably the large SkiWelt Wilder Kaiser-Brixental.

Kufsteinerland

Kufsteinerland is located in Tyrol, near the Bavarian border. Its close proximity to the Kitzbühel Alps, the Kaiser Mountains and the Bavarian Alps allows seemingly endless ski fun. The Kufstein region, together with the stronghold town Kufstein, are both influenced by tradition and a unique landscape and offer cultural variety. In addition to skiing and snowboarding, Kufsteinerland has quite a bit more to offer in order to ensure a perfect holiday experience: from cross-country skiing to winter hikes to ice skating, your imagination knows no limits. Dog-sledding provides a particularly special experience.
