Maurach

Maurach, a small but charming village at an altitude of 950 metres, is idyllically situated on the southern shore of Lake Achensee. Winter fun and relaxation are the main attractions here. With its rustic Tyrolean charm and numerous cosy restaurants promising culinary delights, the village is particularly inviting. A particular highlight is its close proximity to the ski area, which can be easily reached by the Rofan cable car.

The Skyglider "AirRofan" provides thrills: like an eagle, you soar at up to 80 km/h from the Gschöllkopf around 200 metres down into the valley – an unforgettable experience. Away from the slopes, romantic horse-drawn sleigh rides on the lake shore and fast-paced toboggan rides invite you to enjoy active recreation. In addition, the "Notburga" art museum is definitely worth a visit for those interested in culture.

Achensee

Tyrol's first "vital sports region" is comprised of the resorts Maurach, Pertisau and Achenkirch, making up a picturesque area embedded in enchanting mountains around Achensee. The high, snow secure valley offers something for all families and holiday-makers. Skiers and snowboarders have three different ski areas with various levels of piste to try out. Approx. 90 km of cleared hiking trails invite guests to tour through a fascinating winter wonderland. Especially fun for young and old are the toboggan run and ice skating rink, in addition to horse-drawn sleigh rides.
