Ski holidays Nassfeld-Hermagor - the snow must go on!
Nassfeld-Hermagor
Right on the border with Italy lies the Nassfeld mountain pass (1,530 m) with the Nassfeld-Pressegger See ski area and the village of Hermagor (602 m). Thanks to its southern exposure, the area is blessed with plenty of sunshine. The ski area offers winter sports on two levels: cross-country skiers can enjoy themselves at an altitude of around 700 m, while further up, at over 2,000 m, there is an extensive area of slopes to enjoy. The Nassfeld-Pressegger See ski resort impresses with its excellent range of slopes: 110 km of varied runs and 29 lifts offer something for everyone! Despite its many hours of sunshine, the ski area is absolutely snow-sure thanks to the climate and the extensive snow-making facilities. Cross-country skiers will find a perfectly groomed network of trails covering approx. 230 km throughout Carinthia. The location of the resort on Lake Pressegger See also offers numerous activities such as ice skating and ice hockey.Gailtal
The Gail's source can be found in Eastern Tyrol. After approx. 120 km it flows into the Drau. In the same way the Gailtal extends from Tilliach in Eastern Tyrol to Villach in Carinthia. The fascinating landscape is dominated by contrast of wide, flat valleys and rough mountain sides. The valley is outlined by the mountain ranges of the Lienz Dolomites, the Gailtal Alps, the Karnish Alps and the Karanwanks. In the lower Gailtal one of the top 10 ski areas in Austria can be found, the Nassfeld-Hermagor.Travel Nassfeld-Hermagor
