Ski area 4-mountain interconnected ski areas - Schladming

The "Ski amadé" lift pass opens up unimagined possibilities in Salzburger Land with approx. 760 kilometres of piste (including ski routes) and approx. 223 lift systems. From the impressive 4-mountain interconnected ski areas near Schladming to the large Salzburger Sportwelt, Hochkönig's Winterreich and the Grossarl Valley to the beautiful Gastein Valley, you can use the varied winter sports area to suit your personal needs.

Schladming, the centre of the Dachstein-Tauern region, is one of the largest ski destinations in Austria. The town is also known far beyond the country's borders as the venue for the Alpine World Ski Championships and numerous international World Cup races. The 4-mountain interconnected ski areas of Hauser Kaibling, Planai, Hochwurzen and Reiteralm offer a total of 123 kilometres of piste and 47 ski lifts.

The Hauser Kaibling, with its mogul pistes, powder snow slopes and the piste from the Kaiblingalm area over to the Planai, is particularly popular with experienced skiers. But families and less experienced skiers will also find the best conditions in the upper part of Hauser Kaibling, at the middle station and the Kaiblingalm. Since the 2024/25 season, the brand new "Kaiblinggrat" 8-seater chair lift has also been waiting for you. As the most powerful chair lift in Styria, this modern lift replaces the "Quattralpina" chair lift that has been in operation since 1992 and takes you up to an altitude of 1,868 metres in less than five minutes. Look forward to an even more comfortable and faster skiing experience!

You can also ski in the evening on the approx. three kilometre-long floodlit piste on the Hochwurzen. Numerous deep snow areas and snowparks delight boarders and freeriders, while cross-country skiing fans can enjoy the varied network of trails with different levels of difficulty.

You can easily hop on the 4-mountain swing with the lifts and commute between Hauser Kaibling, Planai, Hochwurzen and Reiteralm. The family and children's offer is also very attractive: Beginners will find good conditions on the Höfi-Express.

If you want to review your day on the piste, you can have your performance data such as lifts used, kilometres of piste or metres of altitude covered displayed online. Simply enter your ski pass number in Skiline.

Lovers of night skiing can enjoy a wide range of activities in Austria. This is also the case on the Hochwurzen (1,850 m) in the Planai & Hochwurzen ski area, where night skiing is regularly offered over a length of 3 km. The well-known piste 33 leads from the mountain station of the Hochwurzen summit lift to the valley station. It is also possible to stop off at the huts in the evening. However, if you want to ski at night, you will need to buy an evening ticket as night skiing is not included in the lift pass. On the nearby Rittisberg, you also have the opportunity to use the 3.5 km long night toboggan run.

Après ski 4-mountain interconnected ski areas - Schladming

In the "Ski amadé" ski region, après ski starts at the valley stations in the umbrella bars, where the first "schnapps" can be enjoyed. A popular meeting place is the "Platzhirsch" on the Planai. Countless huts along the pistes also invite you to stop off and enjoy a hearty meal. In Schladming, the après ski scene is particularly popular around the Planai cable car mountain station.

The pedestrian zone also transforms into a small entertainment mile in the evening. Here, numerous bars, restaurants and discos offer a great atmosphere.

Other leisure activities in the region include interesting snowshoe and winter hikes, ski tours, snowtubing, tandem flights, torch-lit hikes and horse-drawn sleigh rides. For toboggan fans, there are various toboggan runs, for example on the Hochwurzen or Rittisberg, which are particularly popular with families.

You can have lots of fun or enjoy pure relaxation in the adventure bath in the village with a slide, sauna area and much more. In Schladming you can spend a varied skiing holiday with numerous leisure activities, even away from the pistes.
