Pill
Pill is a small, charming village with 1,279 inhabitants, located in the Lower Inn Valley at an altitude of 556 metres. Only about 28 kilometres separate the village from the Tyrolean capital of Innsbruck. Pill was first mentioned in a document in 1283 by the abbot of Wilten under the name "in monte bulle" or Pillberg. The highest mountain in the area is the Kellerjoch at 2,344 metres, which belongs to the Karwendel Mountains. The local ski area is also located on its slopes.In addition to winter sports enthusiasts enjoying themselves on the slopes, nature lovers can enjoy breathtaking views of the Hochinntal valley and the surrounding mountains from the summit.
