Ski area Turracher Höhe

With the lifts pass "TopSkiPass Kärnten und Osttirol GOLD" you have the possibility to go ski-hopping during your holiday: make use of 31 ski areas in Carinthia and Easter Tyrol - what a selection!

The ski area "Turracher Höhe" opens up 42 km of piste, accessible via 18 lifts. In the manageable and family-friendly ski area the main focus is customer service: there is a piste butler, which provides the adult skiers with a glass of sparkling wine, and the little ones receive a sweet or two. Relaxation can be found on free deckchairs at the most beautiful places throughout the ski area. For warming up, you can drop by the "Wohnzimmer" at the valley station of the Kornock lift, where there is also large screen to watch sports events on.

The ski area on the high plateau, on the border between Carinthia and Styria, is the ideal place to go for pleasure skiers and families. The Schafalm lift enlarges the ski area by some further perfectly prepared, diverse pistes. You only need to choose from the best!

Children can gather first experience at the Ottifanten lift of the "English" lift. More experienced skiers can practise their swings just below the mountain station. Along the north-facing slope, there is FIS run which awaits the expert skiers. The "Turracher-Runder 2,250" further offers the possibility to go on an anti-clockwise round course over the Turracher Höher - a unique ski and nature adventure.

Night skiing Turrach

A special highlight in the Turracher Höhe ski area is night skiing for all ages. Every Wednesday from 20:00 to 21:30 . an approx 500 m floodlit slope opens at the Übungswiesenlift (subject to change, as per info in resort). Then, skiers can make their turns on the slope in the dark and moonlight and really work off their energy. The good thing is that night skiing is included in the lift pass, so all you have to do after a short afternoon break is to strap on your boards again and continue skiing with pleasure.

Après ski Turrach

At the end of a long day of skis the huts and umbrella bars in and at the ski area invite you to have a drink. If you want to move on by night, you should meet up at the "Noch 1 Lounge" in Turrach. Gourmets will find one of the highest located "Hauben"-award winning restaurants, the restaurant "zum Bergmann".

The "Nocky Flitzer", an 1.6 km alpine roller coaster holds adventures especially for smaller guests. You can also go ice skating on the illuminated natural ice rink at Lake Turrach. The local toboggan run is also lighted - at least so twice a week.

You are looking for relaxation? The resort Bad Kleinkirchheim, approx. 28 km away and known for its thermal bath, is worth a visit. The thermal bath St. Kathrein comrpises saunas, a pool landscape and a spa area as well as a Roman thermal bath.
