Ski holidays Wald am Arlberg - insider's tip for families and activity-seekers!
Wald am Arlberg
The unspoilt village of Wald am Arlberg is located in the Klostertal valley at the foot of the Verwall Group. It lies at an altitude of 963 metres and, together with the main town of Dalaas, forms the tourist centre of the valley. This idyllic village, not far from the Sonnenkopf lift, is considered an insider tip away from the hustle and bustle of other places in the Arlberg region, such as St. Anton or Lech. Wald is also a veritable sun balcony, as most of the houses are located on the southern slope. Relaxation, but above all sporting activities, are on the holiday programme here. After all, Wald scores highly with its ideal location: the Sonnenkopf adventure and family mountain with its ski area and numerous leisure activities is right on the doorstep.Klostertal
Klostertal lies in the heart of the federal state Voralberg. The name Klostertal finds its roots from the 13. Century when the Knights of St. John monkhood founded the "Klösterlein“ in order to offer a roof over the head of merchants and waggoners. This hospitality mirrors itself today in numerous cosy villages, guest houses and parlours that also offer a welcoming scenery. Through the by-pass outside of Arlberg-Trubels in a deeply indented valley, peace and tranquillity can be found. Embedded in the magnificent high mountain panorama of Arlberg-Schickeria are the excellent hotels that are important in Klostertal tradition.Travel Wald am Arlberg
