Ski area Méribel
As one of the highest ski areas in the Alps, the ski region boasts guaranteed snow. Even at the beginning of May, skiing and snowboarding is rarely a problem. The 1 km long "Les Bosses" run in Méribel is considered one of the most difficult in the entire region and demands everything from even the bravest skiers. Attractive routes also lead down from the highest mountain station in the area at Mont du Vallon - groomed pistes and fantastic deep snow slopes.
If that's not enough, the "3 Vallées" ski pass upgrade gives you access to an incredible 600 kilometres of pistes with 156 lifts. On the slopes of the three picturesque valleys, which lead down to Moûtiers from the glaciated Vanoise massif with the Grande Casse (3,852 m) as the highest peak, a powder snow paradise covering a total area of 250 km² stretches out in a beautiful setting with views of Mont Blanc. And before you set off: enjoy the breathtaking view of more than 1,000 peaks in the Italian, Swiss and French Alps.
With the "Les 3 Vallées App", you can also find out about piste and ski lift openings/closings as well as the local weather at any time. Want to meet up for lunch at the hut? Use the app to share your location and see exactly where your friends and family are in the ski area. You also receive information and safety notifications directly on your smartphone and, in the event of an accident, the nearest emergency services can be alerted with just one click.
Night skiing Brides les Bains
Skiing at night is an experience that every skier or snowboarder should have had at least once. In France too, there are a number of night skiing areas or sections of pistes that continue to operate beyond the normal closing time of the lifts. In the largest ski area in the world, the 3 Vallées, night owls can hit the slopes in the evening. The Courchevel ski resort moves the closing time of the Verdons 8-seater gondola lift back every Wednesday to offer its guests the opportunity to ski at night. Here, the "Verdons" run and the Familypark are floodlit. In the family park, turns on the piste are even accompanied by music. The "Les Verdons" restaurant also adapts its opening hours to the extended lift operation and provides guests with food and drinks until late in the evening.
Après ski Brides les Bains
Of course, Méribel also offers plenty of off-piste activities, such as paragliding, ice climbing or dog sledding. You can also go snowshoeing, ice skating, bowling, snowmobiling and much more in Méribel.
The "Himalaya by Night" tobogganing offers a special family experience. Here you can ski down the green Himalaya piste to music, enjoy the wonderful view of Meribel and Mottaret and drink a hot chocolate at the end of the evening.
Brides Les Bains is a rather quiet place in terms of après-ski, but you will still find plenty of opportunities to go out and party in the evening. Something very special is the local casino, where you can play poker, blackjack, roulette and boules. The casino also has a discotheque, a restaurant, a bar and a pub. The resort also has a number of restaurants and bars, which offer excellent value for money compared to the tourist centres in the ski area.
In the ski area, Méribel has a wide selection of ski huts, restaurants and discos to round off the day's skiing. If you really want to party in the ski resort, you'll find the largest selection of après-ski venues in Val Thorens, where the "Malaysia" and the "Underground" really get going.
Snowpark: DC Area 43 Snowpark Brides les Bains
Your ski pass gives you access to Méribel's unique snow parks.
A very special highlight of the region awaits you directly at the "Plattiere 2" lift. DC Shoes Europe has also decided to create a "DC Area 43 Snowpark" in Méribel. They received help from the Hill Technics team, which includes Benjamin Ravanel, the European X-Games superpipe shaper. Located at an altitude of 2,300 metres and with a length of 1,200 metres, the park offers 40 rails and 45 kickers in a wide variety of designs in green, blue, red and black difficulty levels. There is also a special jib zone, a bag jump, a boardercross course and two halfpipes, one of which is only suitable for experts. You can even have your creativity recorded in both parks and view it online later. In the park's chill zone, you can relax to the sound of good music.
The "Elements Park" has various lines for freestylers of all levels. Beginners in particular will enjoy trying out their tricks on the various obstacles such as boxes, rails and jibs as well as the boardercross course.
