Ski holidays Pra Loup - A family-friendly ski village!
Pra Loup
Pra Loup, the "wolf meadow" in the Haute Provence region is a relatively new resort that was built in the 1960's in the course of the growing ski tourism. The small and cosy ski village sits on a wooded mountain top and offers a great view of the Haute Provence mountain ranges. Like many other French ski resorts, Pra Loup has two districts that are called Pra Loup 1,600 and Ra Loup 1,500, according to their sea level. Thanks to the Côte d'Azur being so close on the one hand, and the high Alpine mountains on the other hand, the resort has a nice climate with cold, clear nights and sunny, mind days.Families with small children are in very good hands in Pra Loup. The resort bears the label of the "Famille Plus Montagne" group, and thus offers a very good infrastructure for families. In the village centre, a natural ice rink invites both the children as well as their parents. The very small ones from 3 to 5 years are cared for in the Piou Piou club on the piste. The toboggan run in Pra Loup 1,600, located at the end of the piste, is a true leisure time highlight for bigger children and offers a variant run with different gradients.
But also skiing is anything but neglected. Pra Loup, together with the neighbouring Val d'Allos, makes up the largest ski area in Southern France, the "Espace Lumière".
Espace Lumière
The ski region "Espace Lumière" is located in the sunny south-eastern of France, right at the end of the Vallée du Haut-Verdon and at an altitude of 1,500 - 2,500 m. During the past few years the region has established itself as one of the main parts of the French ski circus. The pistes can be explored from the resorts Val d'allo-La Foux and Pra Loup, located directly at and in the ski area. Diverse, mainly intermediate pistes offer fun and action for all ages. The area surrounding Val d'Allos was even accredited for its family-friendliness. Also freestylers will not be bored with the snow park free ride area "Le Rider Space". Next to three different snow parks boarder cross routes ensure action and leisure feelings.Travel Pra Loup
