Ski area Val Cenis Vanoise

In Val Cenis Vanoise, winter holidaymakers can look forward to 125 km of groomed slopes and 29 lifts and gondolas in the ski areas of Val Cenis and Termignon. The 6-seater chairlift "La Turra" provides access to the Termignon ski area. It is even one of the fastest lifts in Europe, so waiting times are very rare.

The "ESKI-MO" lift pass also gives winter sports enthusiasts access to over 347 kilometres of varied pistes in a total of five highly interesting ski areas. All guests who have booked at least a 6-day lift pass can also use the La Norma, Valfréjus, Aussois and Bonneval sur Arc snow areas for one day in addition to the pistes in Val Cenis, which can be used daily. These ski areas are mainly characterised by easy to intermediate slopes. However, there are also some black runs. A free ski bus service also provides a convenient connection between the individual ski areas.

About Val Cenis itself, the ski area on the north-west slope of Mont Cenis is considered very snow-sure. There, among other things, various huts invite you to refresh yourself or simply relax in the sun. The forest runs are particularly beautiful, leading down to the valley on winding paths. On the other hand, the black downhill run "Michèle Jacot de la Met", which starts at 2,800 m, will put the fear of God into even experienced skiers, while less experienced skiers can enjoy themselves on the longest beginner's slope in Europe, the "Escargot" (Engl. "snail"). Off the slopes, there are interesting canyons and natural pipes. And for freestylers, there are two snow parks at different heights, including boardercross.

In addition, Orelle, which is just under 35 km away and therefore easy to reach, offers visitors from Val Cenis the perfect entry point to the ski area of Val Thorens, the centre of Les 3 Vallées. For this reason alone, no one should miss out on a trip to the largest ski area in the world!

Night skiing Val Cenis

Skiers and snowboarders for whom the offer in this form is not yet enough and who are still fit enough for another sporting activity in the evening should not miss the night skiing in Val Cenis. Every Thursday during the season, the opening hours of the "La Colomba" piste are extended so that fun on the slopes is guaranteed from 8pm to 10pm by floodlight and moonlight. The downhill run of the night skiing area is about 1.5 km long and, as a "green" marked slope, is also ideal for the smallest skiers. Night skiing is possible directly from the village of Lanslevillard.

Après ski Val Cenis

Après-ski begins high above the village at midday. On the sun terraces of the huts and restaurants in the ski area, it's already time to fortify yourself and relax. Entertaining evenings can also be spent in the various restaurants, which offer something for every taste, from traditional Savoyard cuisine to hip pizzerias.

A visit to a crêperie is also recommended, as no one should miss out on this typical French speciality. The atmosphere is even better in bars and pubs, where you can toast an exciting day of skiing together with a drink!

And for those who would like to spend a ski-free day, there are also many attractive alternatives. Here, the offer ranges from tobogganing and dog sledding to paragliding or snowshoe hikes through the snow-covered mountain landscape. Visitors to Val Cenis can also relax in the 150 m² wellness area of the "Aqua Spa Institut". In addition, an indoor swimming pool, an ice skating rink and a bowling centre provide further varied entertainment.

Snowpark: Snowpark Val Cenis

With their lift pass, guests in Val Cenis have access to two snow parks, which are located next to the powder slopes. Boardercross tracks can also be found here.

However, if you are looking for an even more extensive freestyle offer, we recommend going to nearby Les 3 Vallées. It is about 35 kilometres to the entry point in Orelle. A number of highlights await winter sports enthusiasts in the world's largest ski area: The snow park in Val Thorens and the "DC Area 43 Snowpark" in Meribel are particularly noteworthy. Co-developed by European X-Games Superpipe Shaper Benjamin Ravanel, the DC Park leaves nothing to be desired. A trip to Les 3 Vallées is therefore worthwhile for all those who crave a unique freestyle and freeride experience!
