Ski holidays Bad Hindelang – perfect winter mix for the whole family!

Bad Hindelang

Bad Hindelang is located at an altitude of 825 metres in the Oberallgäu region, near the southernmost tip of Germany and the border with Austria. The Kneipp spa resort with its healthy climate was officially awarded the title "Bad" in 2001. Many allergy sufferers come here to be treated at Germany's only high-altitude centre for the treatment of allergies. Historically, Bad Hindelang is known for the salt road over the Joch Pass, along which salt was transported from Tyrol to Lake Constance for centuries. Historical craft traditions such as sleigh building, shingle making and hammer smithing can still be found here today. Thanks to the sunny disposition of the inhabitants, hustle and bustle is virtually unheard of in Bad Hindelang, so nothing stands in the way of a relaxing holiday.

Allgäu

The Allgäu is part of the region Oberschwaben and stretches from the south-western part of Bavaria to the south-eastern part of Baden-Württemberg and partly along the borders of Austria. It is situated right between lower Alps and the Bavarian hill country. With an altitude of up to 2,657 m the Allgäu offers the Nebelhorn as the highest and most well-known mountain of this area. It is not for nothing that this is one of the most popular tourist areas and main winter sports regions within Germany. For Alpine skiers there is a large offer of well-prepared pistes - both for beginners, as well for more experienced winter sports fans. Many of the slopes can be covered with artificial snow and offer reliability for skiing until the end of March. After a day on the pistes you can meet up in the many huts, cafés and pubs or even spend the night in the local clubs.
