The idyllic mountain village of Ramsau lies at an altitude of approx. 670 metres in the beautiful Berchtesgaden National Park. Stroll through the tranquil village centre, past the world-famous parish church of St. Sebastian dating back to 1512 and treat yourself to typical Bavarian cuisine in the inns. There are two areas for winter sports enthusiasts: In the family-friendly Hochschwarzeck ski area, skiers and snowboarders get their money's worth, as do tobogganists and cross-country skiers. On the Hintersee, ice sports enthusiasts have the opportunity to let off steam - with ice skating, ice hockey or curling. If you want a day of relaxation, the Watzmann Therme in Berchtesgaden, approx. 9 km away, is the perfect place to unwind.

In the Berchtesgaden National Park, before the impressive Watzmann Massif (2,713 m) panorama, lies the romantic Berchtesgadener Land. Surrounded by a mountain chain with peaks reaching 2,000 m - 2,700 m, the Upper Bavarian region offers peace and tranquillity. A total of five ski areas cater to all winter sports fans' tastes: the ski area Hochschwarzeck entices families with children and Götschen is ideal for snowboarders and freestylers. Berchtesgadener Land has an international reputation due to its world-cup runs and its position as host to world championships in the luge, bobsledding and snowboarding.
