Ski area Bardonecchia

With the "Bardonecchia" lift pass, you can enjoy a great skiing holiday on a total of 100 kilometres of piste. At the 2006 Olympic Games in Turin, all the snowboard competitions took place in Bardonecchia. Parallel giant slalom, boardercross and half-pipe. But skiers also get their money's worth.

The larger of the two sub-ski areas starts in the village centre at Campo Smith and is suitable for beginners and experts alike. The well-groomed pistes, some of which run through the forest, are very snow-sure thanks to modern snow-making facilities and the altitude. The "Jaffereau" area (2,800 m) on the other side of the village is very popular with demanding skiers. It offers great off-piste opportunities and fantastic views of the mountains!

Rules of conduct on ski pistes in Italy

To use the ski areas, you must have valid liability insurance that covers damage or injury to third parties. This can also be taken out on site for individual days. Skiing while intoxicated (0.5 per mille or higher BAC) is prohibited and is punishable by heavy fines. To reduce the risk of injury, wearing a helmet is compulsory for everyone (regardless of age, on all ski runs, in snow parks and on toboggan runs). Anyone who does not comply with the helmet requirement will be fined or banned from the slopes.

There are numerous bars and restaurants along the pistes where you can recharge your batteries. Once in the valley, various cafés with sun terraces and après ski bars invite you to linger. For those who want to keep active after skiing, the Campo Smith offers a fully equipped fitness centre with sauna and massage area. There is also an indoor pool, an ice skating rink, the opportunity to go snowshoe hiking and tennis, basketball and volleyball courts. In the "Palazzo delle Feste", Bardonecchia offers its guests a varied programme of shows and events.

Snowpark Bardonecchia: Snowpark

The Bardonecchia Snowpark is a paradise for snowboarders and freestylers: from kickers, rails and boxes to a fully illuminated Olympic half-pipe, everything is on offer here. The half-pipe is 130 metres long, 18 metres wide and six metres high. The entire fun park is equipped with a sound system. There is also a lounge area with free Wi-Fi, sofas, video games, a Skullcandy corner and a bar, providing the right environment for relaxing breaks.

The snowpark has been designed to cater for everyone - from beginners to pros. It has been divided into different areas depending on the difficulty of the obstacles: the "Red Park" for advanced riders, the "Blue Park" for beginners and the "Burton Park", which is also suitable for children. There is also the 600 metre long JIBBING-PRO piste, which runs through the forest.
