Starting in Brunico, cross-country skiers have access to the extended network of tracks at Plan de Corones. The whole region provides a total of more than 116 km of trails, which have even been in use for world cup championships. Parallel to these there are just as many skating tracks.
The longest course is the Gsiesertal trail with a total length of 42 km. This track hosts the annual Gsiersertal run, the largest sporting event in South Tyrol and a highlight for all fans of cross-country skiing! Furthermore the Val Pusteria ski marathon takes place here every year. The most scenic routes can be found in the nature park Fanes-Sennes-Prags near San Vigilio di Marebbe. Lovely high altitude tracks await the skiers in the biathlon centre of Rasen-Anterselva as well as at Peitlerkofel.
