Ski holidays Canazei - fantastic Dolomites!
Canazei
At the end of the Fassa Valley, nestled at the foot of the imposing Dolomite peaks of the Sassolungo (3,181 m), Marmolada (3,343 m) and Sella Pass (2,218 m), Canazei lies at an altitude of 1,465 m. The village is a hub for the Dolomite passes and is considered the "metropolis of winter sports" due to its location in the heart of the Dolomiti Superski ski carousel. Its connection to the famous Sellaronda in particular makes the village so attractive for winter sports enthusiasts.Canazei itself captivates with its two faces. On the one hand, there is the old, picturesque village centre with colourful house facades, and on the other, there is the exuberant nightlife with numerous restaurants, bars, clubs and live music for perfect après-ski enjoyment.
Val di Fassa
The Fassa Valley is located in the southwestern part of the Dolomites in Trentino and borders South Tyrol. The idyllic valley is dominated by some of the most famous peaks in the Dolomites, such as the Rosengarten (3,004 m), the Langkofel (3,181 m), the mighty Sella Group and the impressive Marmolada glacier (3,342 m). The small river Avisio winds its way through the trilingual valley (German, Italian, Ladin) and along its popular villages. With around 110 km of ski pistes and 54 lifts, it is one of the largest ski areas in the Dolomiti Superski network and also offers access to the world-famous Sellaronda. The Fassa Valley, whose main source of income today is tourism, offers its guests not only a first-class ski area but also a wide range of leisure activities with countless opportunities for sport and recreation, tradition and culture, hospitality and, of course, good Trentino cuisine.
