Ski area Monterosa Ski - 3 Valli
The local ski area of Gressoney-La-Trinité boasts direct access to the heart of the Monterosa ski region and approx. 132 kilometres of piste. From here, modern lift systems open up challenging pistes around the Passo dei Salati as well as extensive, sporty descents that offer impressive views of the Monte Rosa massif. Thanks to its altitude of over 3,000 metres, the area is particularly reliable of snow and offers ideal conditions for ambitious skiers and freeriders who appreciate the high alpine terrain.
The Monterosa region is one of the 15 highest ski areas in Italy and is therefore not only reliable of snow, but also particularly diverse. The interconnected ski areas connect three valleys and the gondolas run over Colle Bettaforca (2,727 metres) and Punta Indra (3,260 metres). There are pistes of all levels of difficulty in this large area, which can also be artificially snowed in unfavourable weather conditions. In addition, snowparks, children's areas, race tracks and cosy huts offer plenty of variety. The numerous medium-difficulty pistes offer experienced winter sports enthusiasts fantastic downhill skiing opportunities. The descent from "Punta Indren", for example, which covers an altitude difference of 2,000 metres, is legendary.
Rules of conduct on ski pistes in Italy
To use the ski areas, you must have valid liability insurance that covers damage or injury to third parties. This can also be taken out on site for individual days. Skiing while intoxicated (0.5 per mille or higher BAC) is prohibited and is punishable by heavy fines. To reduce the risk of injury, wearing a helmet is compulsory for everyone (regardless of age, on all ski runs, in snow parks and on toboggan runs). Anyone who does not comply with the helmet requirement will be fined or banned from the slopes.Après ski Monterosa Ski - 3 Valli
