Rules of conduct on ski pistes in Italy

To ensure safety on the ski slopes in Italy, stricter safety regulations have been in force since 2022. In order to use the ski areas, everyone must have liability insurance that covers damage to third parties. It will also be possible to take out this insurance on site for individual days. Drunken skiing is prohibited and punishable by heavy fines, with a maximum of 0.5 mg of alcohol per litre of blood. To reduce the risk of injury, helmets are also compulsory for all minors when skiing, snowboarding or tobogganing.

Après ski Mezzana

The pretty mountain village Mezzana lies in the midst of impressive mountain massifs. Apart from ensuring a great time on the piste, there are plenty of sporty off-piste activities, such as ice-skating or playing tennis that the sports centre in Mezzana-Marilleva have on offer. Or go and explore the region on snow shoes. Excursions to the slightly bigger resort Malè or to the worldwide known skiing metropolis Madonna di Campiglio are always recommendable as well. Traditional culinary delicacies can be enjoyed in the various restaurants.

Snowpark: Alternative Snowpark Mezzana

There are two snow parks in the Folgarida-Marilleva ski area. In the Marilleva area, the "Alternative Snowpark" is located right next to the "Malba Panciana" mountain hut. Just like in almost every Italian ski resort, a lot of attention has been paid to detail to create a popular place for all freestylers. The Malga Copai-Panciana 6-seater gondola comfortably takes you to the area, which is completely separated by nets.

A total area of 300 m² peppered with a wide variety of obstacles offers a special experience, especially for the more advanced riders. There is a choice of different boxes and rails as well as various kickers and a quarter pipe. Although the park was only recently built, it is already the venue for competitions and festivals. You certainly won't get bored here!

In the Folgarida area, freestyle beginners have the opportunity to try out their first tricks in the "Malghet Haut" snow park. Above the valley station of the "Bamby" chairlift, small boxes and rails can be found, as well as two kickers.
