The village of Rasun (1,030 m) (German: Rasen), with its three districts of Niederrasen, Oberrasen and Neunhäuser, forms the entrance to the beautiful Antholz Valley in South Tyrol. This area belongs to the "Dolomiti Nordic Ski", the largest cross-country skiing area in Europe. Around 900 kilometres of trails offer a seemingly endless skiing and nature experience!The Plan de Corones ski area is right on your doorstep and easily accessible by ski bus. Wide, well-groomed slopes with guaranteed snow make Plan de Corones a paradise for skiers and snowboarders. For children, the Niederrasen-Oberstall toboggan runs and shooting range offer unparalleled snow fun. The beautiful nearby mountains can be explored on ski and snowshoe tours. Plan de Corones
At the foot of the Plan de Corones (2,275 m), in the centre of the picturesque Val Pusteria, are 14 diverse and attractive South Tyrolean villages. Modern gondolas start from various stations and speed up to the peak, from which imposing 360-degree views unfold. Diverse sporting events take place here on a regular basis, e.g. the Val Pusteria ski marathons including the Valle di Casies run, the biggest sporting event in South Tyrol. 121 kilometres of piste, approx. 31 modern lifts, a half-pipe, as well as ample recreational and sporting opportunities and lively après ski ensure a good deal off piste!
