Approximately 25 km away from Świeradów-Zdrój you will find the Polish Mecca for cross-country skiers: the Jakuszyce high plateau is one of the largest and most popular cross-country regions in Central Europe. Fans of Nordic skiing meet up in the Szklaska Poreba-Jakuszyce region. Here you can look forward to more than 150 km of perfectly prepared slopes, a part of which even have the highest FIS level.
A 14 km long trail starts in Świeradów-Zdrój, leading from the Orle ski station all the way to Jakuszyce (Jacob's Valley) and thus connecting the Izera and the Giant Mountains. The trails provide corresponding signposts.
