Ski holidays Bad Ragaz – Sophisticated spa town with global recommendation!

Bad Ragaz

The history of the spa town Bad Ragaz (on 516 m altitude) is closely related to the close-by Tamina gorge. The 37 degree warm, healing thermal waters with their source in the legendary and narrow gorge attracted visitors as early as the 17th century. What was once a farmer's village was converted into a sophisticated spa town with a long bath tradition and stately hotels. Thanks to its wide range of medical and spa offers, the Tamina spa and other recreational oasis make for a popular destination in summer and winter. But also those looking for active holidays are in a great spot here as the local mountain Pizol attracts skiers, snowboarders and tour fans alike. The Pizol is located at the start of the St. Gallen Rhine Valley and has a unique nature landscape with panoramic view of the Swiss Eastern Alps and the Vorarlberg as well as Lake Constance.

Heidiland

The Canton St. Gallen is situated in between Walensee and Rebbergen and stretches all the way to the holiday region Heidiland. As the name suggests, the region lives of the myth of the children's book character because it is Heidi's homeland and visitors can trace her steps here. But Heidiland is also a well-known spa destination and outdoor paradise. All throughout the year does this alpine region offer plenty of opportunities to get active in the fresh mountain air and enjoy the landscape, glaciers and lakes. Two ski areas, Pizol and Flumserberg, are at your disposal during winter.
