Ski area Crans-Montana
The ski area is located below the Plaine Morte glacier and spoils guests with well-groomed pistes and numerous snow-making facilities. Beginners will find a good area with gentle hills and practice lifts, while the Chetseron or Petit Bonvin pistes offer an intermediate level.
The longest piste in the region, the 12 km descent from Plaine Morte to Les Barzettes, is recommended for fit carvers. Those who want to try heli-skiing will also find what they are looking for in Crans-Montana. Numerous freeride options and the snowpark at the Grand Signal and Crans-Cry d'Er gondolas leave nothing to be desired, even for ambitious riders.
Night skiing Crans-Montana
Night skiing is a special highlight in the Crans-Montana ski area. All winter sports enthusiasts who haven't had enough wind, snow and mountain air during the day can make a few more turns on the piste in Crans-Montana under floodlights. The night skiing area is located directly on the Cry d'Er and is open on Friday evenings from 7 pm to 10 pm. Night owls then have a whole 4 kilometres of piste at their disposal. Afterwards, they can fortify themselves with torch-lit runs and a fondue.Après ski Crans-Montana
You can also enjoy a varied sports programme away from the pistes. Snow Island is especially geared towards families with children. Here, younger guests can enjoy sledging, snow tubing and their first attempts on skis. Equally popular with younger guests are a round on one of the two ice rinks or a visit to the model railway museum.
Even more spectacular is ice climbing or paragliding with impressive views. Alternatively, you can take a ride on a dog sled. If you like wellness, you can look forward to the various offers in and around Crans-Montana, such as the thermal baths in Leukerbad and Ovronnaz. You can also plan a leisurely stroll through the village's attractive boutiques and pretty shops.
Snowpark Crans-Montana: Snowpark
The locals of the Crans-Montana region are not only proud of their ski area, but also of their snowpark. In the middle of the Valais Alps, they have created an "adrenaline zone" that can make any freestyle lover happy with its wide range of offers. As one of the largest parks in Switzerland, the snowpark has a lot to offer.
The end station of the Crans cable car is also the entrance to the extensive snowpark area. First of all, a beginner-friendly area awaits you there. Smaller obstacles are ideal for your first jumps. After passing a ski and boardercross course, you reach the centrepiece of the park. With several rails, three different lines and the largest half-pipe in the Valais Alps, nothing is left to be desired here.
Another highlight is the snow bar, which provides cool drinks, tasty snacks and hip music in the middle of the park while spectacular moves are rehearsed all around. Whether you want to get active yourself or just watch, the snowpark has something for everyone.
