Ski area Davos/Klosters Mountains

The "Davos Klosters Mountains" lift pass allows you to take advantage of absolute skiing enjoyment on around 270 kilometres (incl. skiing trails) of piste in the five ski areas Parsenn, Jakobshorn, Madrisa, Rinerhorn and Pischa. At an altitude between between 810 and 2,844 m, pistes covering all levels of difficulty and 36 modern lifts provide a great deal of variety. In addition, there is the especially high snow security, allowing fun in the snow from November to April!

A comfortable commuting gondola transporting 100 persons at once quickly takes you from Davos into the Jakobshorn ski area. A highlight is the 12 km long run from Weissfluh to Küblis with an altitude difference of 2,034 m. Furthermore, numerous first class freeride areas, illuminated pistes, and challenging black runs for pros are also to be found. Not only that, but the area is also a paradise for freestylers: national and international competitions take place in the region's fun parks.

The Jakobshorn - a snowboard mecca for years - with the superpipe on the Bolgen deserves special mention. But the other areas also have kickers, rails and a boardercross with kicker - there really is nothing left to be desired! There are no groomed pistes on Pischa, but all the more secured deep snow fun - unique in the Alps.

On the easy pistes and practice areas at the Rinerhorn especially families will feel well-catered for. The broad pistes at Jakobshorn are very well suited for the whole family. At Bolgen at the foot of Jakobshorn, children can explore the fascination of skiing on a kids course in the children's ski school, while parents can enjoy the sun in one of the beach chairs. Madrisa Land also attracts families with children.

The Davos Klosters Mountains ski region offers about 20 Wi-Fi hotspots in mountain restaurants and gastronomical facilities.

Early birds also have the chance to enjoy untouched, freshly prepared pistes in the Parsenn ski area first thing in the morning before the area officially opens, all the while experiencing a gorgeous sunrise in the snow - the perfect start to a day of skiing!

Night skiing Davos

There are several places in Switzerland where you can still go skiing at night. The Davos Klosters ski resort is one such night skiing area. In Davos, the piste on the Rinerhorn is floodlit for night skiing every Wednesday and Friday between 19:00 and 22:30. Night tobogganing is also possible every Wednesday and Friday from 19:00 to 22:30 on the spectacular toboggan run. Another piste for night skiing is located at the Selfrange ski lift in Klosters, which is open for skiers and snowboarders on Tuesdays between 19:00 and 21:00 and on Fridays between 19:30 and 21:30. In addition to night skiing, Nordic sports enthusiasts can also practise cross-country skiing at night. In Davos, an approximately 2.5 km long trail is floodlit from Monday to Friday from 18:30 to 20:30. Cross-country skiers also have the opportunity to cross-country ski at night on the 3.2 km trail in Klosters every Tuesday and Thursday until 20:30 pm. And best of all: cross-country skiing is free of charge throughout the region.

Après ski Davos

According to the motto "from piste to party" you can experience aprés ski and party when and where you feel like it! In the ski area itself you will already find many sun terraces and snow bars to get going and down in the valley there is an even larger selection discos, night clubs, bars and pubs which are the ideal basis for a fun party evening. For example, go and visit the popular party venue "Bolgen Plaza" at the foot of the Jakobshorn or the trendy "Parsenn Gada" right by the valley station of the Parsenn cable car.

Even away from the slopes, there are plenty of opportunities to spend the day as varied as possible: for example, in the "Eau-là-là" adventure pool with wellness area, the Färbi sports hall with climbing wall, tennis and squash courts, 156 km of winter hiking trails, toboggan runs, paragliding, an indoor riding arena, horse-drawn sleigh rides and much more.

If you prefer to experience a bit of culture, there are also various museums such as the Winter Sports Museum and a variety of restaurants with local and international specialities, as well as a nice shopping promenade.

Snowpark: JatzPark Davos

Since the late 1980's the Jakobshorn is known as a freestyle Mecca, and therefore in 1993 the "Bogenschanze" was opened as a mere snowboarder's hotel. However the snow park and the SuperPipe are the real highlights at the Jakobshorn. The "JatzPark" is located directly at the "Jatz Junior" lift and offers everything a freestyler's heart may desire. At 2,300 m altitude the park provides 3 different lines: medium jib line, medium slopestyle line and pro slopestyle line. Various kickers, such as the 18 m Big Air, wallride spine, tractor tyre bonk or rails, in form of elbow rails or a 6 m long straight pipe - there is something for everyone here and creativity can run riot.

If a perfect freestyle day has not ended with the park closure and you still want to go out and have fun, then the "Jazzhütte" is the best place to go. A jacuzzi and sun terrace, as well as regular visits by international DJ's are a guarantee for a great end to the day with the finest tunes playing.

The special highlight on the Jakobshorn is the 120 m long superpipe. It is located on the Bolgen in the valley of Davos. You can also use the pipe for training several times a week in the evening thanks to floodlighting. Regular maintenance ensures that you will always find the halfpipe perfectly prepared.

Besides the mega freestyle paradise at the Jakobshorn there is also a smaller snow park at the Rinerhorn and one at the Selfrangalift, as well as a ski and bordercross run at Parsenn and Madrisa. So if you are on holiday in Davos-Klosters and looking for solid freestyle fun, you are absolutely in the right place here!
