Ski area Aletsch Arena - Riederalp/Bettmeralp/Fiesch Eggishorn
The gondola entrance to the Fiescheralp is located directly in Fiesch. The middle station is located on the Alp at an altitude of 2,212 metres, while the second section continues to the Eggishorn. From here, a great black descent leads down to the Fischeralp. Otherwise, there are many blue and some red pistes at the Fiescheralp. All in all, the Aletsch Arena offers almost as many easy and intermediate descents, so that children and beginners will not miss out. On Bettmeralp, ski school children can enjoy themselves in Kindersonnenland and Snowgarden as well as in Prinzenland on Bettmersee. At Kühboden on the Fiescheralp and on the Riederalp there are further children's parks with large play and learning areas. The ski area has been awarded the "Families Welcome" seal of quality, which recognises the family-friendly infrastructure and child-friendly service, including childcare and an entertainment programme.
After an eventful day of skiing on the race course, in the snowpark, in the half-pipe and in the panorama restaurant, there are two ways to get back to Fiesch: The descent to the valley via a ski route. Those who prefer not to venture down the unprepared descent can take the gondola down to the valley in comfort. For those who want to ski a little further, there are two night ski slopes in the evening. At the Alpenrose area on Riederalp and at the Blauseelift on Bettmeralp, skiing is offered once a week until 9 pm on well-lit pistes.
Night skiing Aletsch Arena - Riederalp/Bettmeralp/Fiesch Eggishorn
There are numerous ski areas in Switzerland that offer night skiing after the lifts close. This is also the case in the Aletsch Arena near Fiesch. As the day draws to a close, three lifts in the Aletsch Arena extend their operating hours for night owls. Night skiing is probably the most fun on the Bettmeralp. The Blausee chair lift extends its operation to the middle station every Tuesday from 4.30 pm to 9 pm. Night skiing fans have around one kilometre of piste at their disposal. In addition to the Blausee chair lift, the Alpenrose-Riederalp training lift also has night skiing on the programme every Tuesday from 19:00 to 21:00. Two lifts make it possible to use the 500 metre long, floodlit piste. In good snow conditions, night skiing enthusiasts can also get their money's worth in the valley. The practice lift in Fieschertal has its pistes floodlit every Thursday from 18:00 to 20:00. Around 200 metres of piste are available here for night-time wedeling.Après ski Aletsch Arena - Riederalp/Bettmeralp/Fiesch Eggishorn
Bogganing is also great fun in the Aletsch region. A real highlight awaits you at the Fiescheralp: a 13 km long toboggan run leads down a well-groomed path to Lax, the neighbouring village of Fiesch. Once at the bottom, a sports bus takes tobogganists back to Fiesch in just a few minutes. Another tobogganing speciality can be found at the Moosfluh gondola lift: after the lift closes, you can ride down the blue piste on an airboard. The "Blätz toboggan run", which is part of the children's and family park in the Fieschertal, is ideal for young tobogganists. In February, evening tobogganing is possible here once a week (until 8 pm). In less favourable weather or even as an alternative to skiing, the Sport Ferien Resort Fiesch offers a wide range of sporting activities, such as swimming, tennis, squash, indoor climbing, fitness, bowling, saunas or sunbathing in the solarium.
Snowpark Aletsch Arena - Riederalp/Bettmeralp/Fiesch Eggishorn: TFI Snowpark, Funpark Eggishorn, Funpark Konkordia
The hotspot for freestylers in the Aletsch Arena is located on the slopes of the Bettmerhorn between the red Kanzel piste and the blue Salzgäb piste. A rail line and several kicker lines await jibbers and shredders here. As a nice treat, there is a fat half-pipe a little further down the slope for really high jumps. Speciality of the park crew: the obstacles are shaped with the special "PipeMagician" device, so that 360-degree turns and steep banked turns are also ideal. Beginners, on the other hand, can first try their hand at the family park on smaller wupps, banks and mini kickers.
In addition to the TFI Snowpark, the Aletsch Arena also has two parks at Fiesch-Eggishorn: the Eggishorn Funpark and the Konkordia Funpark. The two freestyle areas run on both sides of the Konkordia piste and can be reached via the Flesch 4-seater chair or the Talegga 6-seater chair. The Konkordia area is designed for budding freestylers with smaller mogul and snake slopes and offers beginners a nice playground. The Eggishorn fun park, on the other hand, has real rails and jumps on offer again.
