Ski area Piz Corvatsch
The local mountain in Sils-Maria, the Furtschellas, offers direct access to the ski area at Piz Corvatsch with its 120 km of piste, which offers a lot of challenges for ambitious skiers. While beginners prefer the slopes at Furtschella, the broad glacier pistes at Piz Corvatsch are a sporty treat. The unforgettable panoramic view of Piz Bernina, the only 4,000 metre high peak in the Eastern Alpes, is included of course! The variant pistes from the middle station Murtèl down to Alp Margun and the 9 km long piste from Corvatsch ofer Hahnensee lake down to St. Moritz are perfect for experienced skiers. Ambitious athletes will find a time measurement system, and freestylers will find their place in the Corvatsch Freestyle Park.
Night skiing Sils Maria (St. Moritz)
Just like in other Alpine countries, night skiing is also a popular option in Switzerland when you want to keep your skis on after the regular daily opening hours. Not far from Sil Maria, winter sports fans will find the longest night ski piste in Switzerland at Corvatsch. The so called "Snow Night" takes place on Fridays from 19:00 on the approx. 4.2 km illuminated night ski piste, where you can ski until 1:00 at night. At the Corvatsch middle station you can take a break in the cosy Restaurant Murtèl. The ticket for night skiing can be acquired in resort. Those who want to enjoy night skiing alone and without interruption can book the night ski piste for themselves or for groups on the other days of the week (further information in resort).Après ski Sils Maria (St. Moritz)
Off piste, you can also make use of the various leisure time opportunities Sils-Maria has to offer. The resort is the perfect starting place for winter and snow shoe hikes to the surrounding areas, or for a romantic carriage ride in the Flex valley. The natural ice rink "Muot Marias" has two areas: one for ice hockey and one for ice skating and curling. At the Serlas Parc in S-chanf you can go climbing or bouldering. Additionally, you can also find several adventure pools, such as e.g. the Bellavita in Pontresina, the family pool Zernet or the Mineral Bath & Spa Samedan.
