Ski area Corvatsch/Furtschellas
You have direct access to the ski area on Piz Corvatsch via Sils Maria's local mountain, the Furtschellas, which, with its 120 kilometres of piste, offers many challenges, especially for more demanding skiers. While beginners prefer the slopes on Furtschellas, the descents down the wide glacier slopes on Piz Corvatsch are a sporting delight. You will be accompanied by an unforgettable panoramic view of Piz Bernina, the only four-thousand metre peak in the Eastern Alps. The varied pistes from the Murtèl middle station down to Alp Margun and the 9 km descent from Corvatsch over Lake Hahnensee down to St. Moritz will also delight advanced skiers. There is a timing system on the Mandra piste for ambitious athletes. Freestylers will find their playground in the Corvatsch Freestyle Park.
Night skiing Corvatsch/Furtschellas
As in other Alpine countries, night skiing in Switzerland is a popular option for making a few turns in the night skiing area even after the end of daily operating hours. Not far from Sils Maria, winter sports enthusiasts will even find the country's longest piste for night skiing on Corvatsch. On Fridays, the 4.2-kilometre-long floodlit piste is open from 7 p.m. for "Snow Night", where you can ski at night until 2 a.m. in some places. At the Corvatsch middle station, you have the opportunity to stop for refreshments at the Murtèl restaurant during night skiing. The lift ticket for night skiing is available on site. If you would like to enjoy skiing alone and undisturbed at night, you can hire the night ski piste privately or for groups on other days of the week (further information available on site).Après ski Corvatsch/Furtschellas
Away from the piste, you can also take advantage of the wide range of leisure activities on offer in Sils Maria. The village is the perfect starting point for winter and snowshoe hikes in the surrounding area or for a romantic carriage ride into the Fex Valley. There are two rinks on the "Muot Marias" natural ice rink - one for ice hockey and one for ice skating and curling. For climbing and bouldering, head to the Serlas Parc in S-chanf. There are also several adventure baths in the area: the Bellavita in Pontresina, for example, the family pool in Zernez and the Mineralbad & Spa Samedan.
Snowpark Corvatsch/Furtschellas: Corvatsch Snowpark
