Ski area Loser
The Loser ski area offers 34 kilometres of piste and 8 lift systems. All 6-seater chair lifts are equipped with a bonnet and warm comfort padding and offer optimum protection in all weathers. The ski area on the Loser, situated at 850 to 1,800 metres, consists mainly of easy to intermediate pistes and is therefore ideal for beginners and pleasure skiers.
Where the European Cup is held, there is also an FIS course. The wide pistes offer plenty of space for carving, gliding and turning. The latest snow-making facilities ensure that skiing fun is possible right through to spring.
Après ski Loser
Those who want to get off the beaten track can explore the surroundings on snowshoes. If you prefer something more sporty, you can take touring skis up the mountains instead of the lifts and discover the quieter side of the ski areas. There are a total of seven tours with varying levels of difficulty available in the region.
There are also attractive activities for the whole family: for example, you can experience tobogganing on the Zlaim natural toboggan run at Grundlsee, just a 15-minute drive from Altaussee. In Altaussee itself, young and old can compete against each other in Bavarian curling or go ice skating together.
Snowpark Loser: Funslope Loserfenster
The Loser ski area has a small fun park for beginners and advanced skiers. The park is around 200 metres long and offers several kickers and rails. The real highlight, however, are the neighbouring freestyle areas on the Loser, which provide pure action and are an absolute must for every freerider.
