Ski area Sillian - Thurntaler (Alta Pusteria)

The "SkiHit" lift pass gives you the opportunity to get to know seven ski areas: Großglockner Resort Kals-Matrei, St. Jakob im Defereggental - Brunnalm, Zettersfeld - Lienz, Sillian - Thurntaler, Obertilliach - Golzentipp and in Carinthia the Mölltal Glacier and Ankogel - Mallnitz areas. A total of 168 kilometres of piste of all levels of difficulty make skiers' and boarders' hearts beat faster.

The Thurntaler near Sillian is a modern family ski area, which is in top form throughout the winter thanks to its altitude (1,103 - 2,407 m) and the largest snowmaking system in East Tyrol. Special features include the 11 km long ridge descent to Sillian and the descent to the valley station of the Außervillgraten 4-seater chair lift.

The snowpark in the ski area with various obstacles, a wave run and 3 kickers will make every freestyler's heart beat faster. Kids can enjoy their own personal winter fun at the "Bobo" children's club in Alta Pusteria.

Après ski Sillian - Thurntaler (Alta Pusteria)

The après ski in the Sillian - Thurntaler ski area is rather cosy. After skiing, several huts and bars at the valley and mountain stations invite you to enjoy a relaxed end to the day - with views of the peaks of Alta Pusteria, warm drinks and regional snacks. The atmosphere is sociable, but not over-the-top: instead of a big party scene, the bars here have a manageable size, sun terraces and a family atmosphere.

Winter sports enthusiasts, on the other hand, will enjoy the alternative sports programme, which includes snowshoe hiking through snow-covered landscapes, ski tours and Bavarian curling. Or why not go on a romantic horse-drawn sleigh ride by moonlight?

Snowpark Sillian - Thurntaler (Alta Pusteria): Snowpark

The Sillian snowpark in the ski area offers both beginners and professionals a wide range of opportunities to try out their skills. You can let off steam on rails, kickers, tubes and boxes in various levels of difficulty over a length of 300 metres and 2,200 metres of snow. There is also a wave track and a skicross course with banked turns and tunnels. The park is situated in a sunny south-east location directly at the top station of the gondola lift and has its own lift and snowmaking facilities.
