Après ski Obertilliach - Golzentipp

For active people, skiing is by no means the end of the day. Several walking and hiking trails are groomed by snow groomers, making excursions into the surrounding nature particularly enjoyable. The Lesachtal valley is best explored on snowshoes in unprepared terrain. With or without a guide, there are various routes through valleys and forests. There is also plenty of tobogganing fun to be had in the area around Maria Luggau. In Obergail there is a smaller toboggan run at the Mühlenstüberl and in Tuffbad there is a 700 metre long, floodlit toboggan run. A 7 km descent is located directly in the Golzentipp ski area in Obertilliach. After a cosy stop at the Connyalm hut, the toboggan run leads down into the valley to Rals.

Maria Luggau also has a covered and floodlit ice rink where you can skate and play ice hockey. Ice skates can be hired free of charge. Bavarian curling can also be practised here with "pigeons" or "boards".

After sport, the culinary delights beckon. The Lesach Valley Kitchen combines three cultures (Italy, Slovenia and Austria) and therefore has some special creations to offer. For example, savour the typical "Morenden", a mixture of hearty snacks with local sausages and cheeses as well as warm dishes such as Schlipfkrapfen. Together with freshly baked bread from the local millers, you can literally taste the authenticity of this beautiful Alpine valley.

Snowpark Obertilliach - Golzentipp: Yellowsnow Park

The nearest spot for freestylers is the Hochpustertal ski centre, around 30 km from Maria Luggau. There is the Yellowsnow Park on the Thurntaler with a wide range of options to try out. At an altitude of 2,130 metres and a length of 300 metres, boarders can let off steam on kickers, rails, corners and frames in various difficulty levels. There is also an extra jib line. Beginners in particular are in good hands in the park, which has its own lifts and a chill-out area.
