Ski area Kaunertaler Gletscher - Fendels

With the "Kaunertaler Gletscher - Fendels" lift pass, you'll have access to 34 km of piste in two ski areas. A total of 13 lifts take you comfortably up the mountain. You have the choice between the family-friendly ski area of Fendels with its 11 km of piste or the area on the Kaunertal glacier with its 23 km of piste and many freeride opportunities.

In Fendels, beginners will find easy and intermediate pistes. Children can let loose in the "Bibiland". A particularly nice piste is the valley run, which runs along larch forests. For practised skiers, the Plangger lift takes you to a few steep, sporting runs. Once per week, you can have fun on the pistes into the evening hours.

At the Kaunertal glacier, winter sports fans will experience altitudes ranging from 2,180 m to 3,113 m. Thanks to the post bus, whose bus stop is the highest in all of Austria, you have the chance to ride up to 2,750 m altitude. The glacier ski area is known for its comfortably wide and relatively flat pistes. However, it's especially popular with freestylers - thanks to its snow park, found at 2,990 m altitude - and freeriders, who will find about 34 km of varying runs. In the snow park and at the "Weisssee" mountain restaurant, free Wi-Fi is available.

Après ski Ried im Oberinntal

The holiday day village Ried is popular amongst families and those looking for relaxation. They enjoy the scenic location and the close proximity to attractive tourist attractions such as Innsbruck, Swiss Engadin, Kauner Valley and South Tyrol. In the evening you can enjoy regional and international delicacies in the local restaurants.

If you feel like having a drink after a day of skiing, you can do so close to the Fendels ski area, for example in the umbrella bar at the parking lot of the Fendels gondola or in "KIWI", the popular bar of Hotel Kirchenwirt in Feichten. The "KIWI" already enjoys an outstanding reputation amongst snowboarders and young winter sports fans. At the "Pfigg Alm" or the "Zappa Dello" you can also go dancing or play table football.

The wide range of sports activities in Ried are also worth mentioning. You can go ice skating on the frozen lake or try out curling. On the natural toboggan run in Fendels, you can slide down the mountain for 4.5 km, and the run is illuminated twice per week in the evening. For relaxing or swimming, paying a visit to the Kaunertal Center in Feichten is highly recommended.

Snowpark: Snowpark Kaunertal Ried im Oberinntal

You want to enjoy a really special freestyle experience, the newest obstacles, and have the chance to enjoy the snow park no matter your level of ability? Then the "Snowpark Kaunertal" is just what you're looking for! The various kicker and obstacle lines of the park can easily be combined. As a newcomer, you'll receive the best beginner opportunities along the mini shreds with easy jibs and jumps, while pros can check out the scene at the same time.

Several lines with a total of 20 different elements really get freestylers' hearts pumping. From the Flat-Down Picknick Combo, the 6 m long PE pipe, and the Start Funbox, to the most diverse kickers all the way to a 9 m long Step-Up Flat Box, and a 6 m long Gunpipe, there's really something for everyone. The freestyling fun at the Kaunertal glacier goes on even longer than in most other ski areas: the legendary "Spring Classics" give you the chance to shred once more in April and May.

Those who want to share their latest moves can make use of the free Wi-Fi found in the park.
