Ski area Arber

The "Arber" lift pass gives you access to 11.5 beautiful kilometres of piste around one of the highest mountains in the German low mountain range, the Großer Arber. The child-friendly ski area is a paradise for families in particular. Little skiers can take their first steps on skis in peace and quiet in the "ArBär Kinderland". There are conveyor belts, a ski carousel and a flat practice area.

Beginners and advanced skiers will also have a lot of fun on the predominantly easy to intermediate pistes. But the pros are also catered for. Due to the Arber's excellent reliability of snow, World Cup races have been held here for over three decades. The 1 km long World Cup course is a challenge for everyone and lets you conquer a difference in altitude of more than 340 metres.

While you enjoy the panorama of the Bohemian Forest during the day, another special experience awaits you in the evening with floodlit skiing. Snowboarders get their money's worth in the fun park with boxes, rails, kickers and fun waves.

Night skiing Arber

Night skiing is just as popular in the Bavarian Forest as it is in other ski areas in Germany. The slopes of the Großer Arber are also home to an impressive night skiing area. Night skiing takes place on a total of three pistes here. The medium-difficulty "Sonnenhang" marked as a red piste, the "Damenstrecke" marked as a blue descent and the very flat "Familienststrecke" are all floodlit. During the extended operating hours, the Sonnenhang 6-seater chair lift transports you to the freshly groomed night ski slopes in the evening. The "Arber Stadl" in the upper area of the "Sonnenhang" is open to night owls for breaks or a longer refreshment stop.

Après ski Arber

After an exhausting and beautiful day on the piste, you can round off the evening with culinary delights. In addition to skiing or snowboarding, there are many other ways to spend a winter like in a fairy tale. You can hike through an impressive landscape on a variety of cleared winter hiking trails. The toboggan runs are also great fun for young and old. Or enjoy the magical winter wonderland on a romantic horse-drawn sleigh ride. The choice is yours - every leisure activity has its own special charm!

Snowpark Arber: Snowpark Family Cross-Park

The snowpark on the Thurnhof slope does absolute justice to the family ski area on the Großer Arber. It is not a full-blown fun park, but a versatile family cross park with fun waves and small jumps for beginners and adventurous youngsters. The marked area consists mainly of beginner lines with soft hills, small boxes and easy rails. There is also a separate kids' area, which is part of the ArBär-Kinderland. This beginner's area is designed in an eye-catching blue colour and completely without metal frames for the safety of the children. There are children's rails here with a maximum height of 0.5 metres. The two separate areas make the cross park a versatile terrain for young and old.
