A landscape blanketed in deep snow, glistening snow and crisp, clear air – in and around Schöneck, people who enjoy cross-country skiing will find a true paradise. Right next to the IFA Holiday Park, you can join the groomed network of cross-country trails, spanning approx. 30 km, through the snow-covered winter forest around the Hohe Reuth.
The cross-country trails are machine-groomed and are therefore of the highest quality. Furthermore, Schöneck is the starting point of the famous Kammloipe, which runs for just under 36 kilometres to Johanngeorgenstadt in the Ore Mountains. The Kammloipe runs through the Erzgebirge/Vogtland Nature Park and is one of the longest, most beautiful and most reliable cross-country trails in Germany. It has also been awarded the ‘Excellent Cross-Country Trail’ rating.
