Ski area Passo San Pellegrino - Falcade
The ski area is perfect for families and beginners. A total of 34 kilometres of blue pistes await snow lovers, where children and beginners can learn to ski and snowboard in the best possible way. In the "Baby Club", toddlers are looked after by trained staff and learn their first turns in a playful way. This allows parents to explore the ski area on their own. The wide, blue pistes in the ski area also invite you to carve, so that even experienced winter sports enthusiasts get their money's worth. Skiers and snowboarders who like it a little steeper will definitely find what they are looking for on the 49 red and 12 black kilometres of piste. Experts can put their technique to the test on the La Volata piste. This popular descent slopes down towards San Pellegrino and has a 50 per cent decline in places. In addition to fitness and expertise, conquering this piste also requires a good dose of courage. Freestylers also get their money's worth in the Alpe Lusia - San Pellegrino ski area. Three fun parks with a wide variety of obstacles and kickers for all skill levels provide plenty of fun. There is also a boardcross course in the ski area.
Winter sports enthusiasts for whom the almost 100 kilometres of piste are not enough can upgrade their lift pass for a fee and explore all the slopes of the "Dolomiti Superski" lift network. In the beautiful mountain scenery of the Dolomites, winter holidaymakers can expect 1,200 kilometres of piste, over 450 lift systems, 24 snowparks and countless places to stop for refreshments on the edge of the piste.
Rules of conduct on ski pistes in Italy
To use the ski areas, you must have valid liability insurance that covers damage or injury to third parties. This can also be taken out on site for individual days. Skiing while intoxicated (0.5 per mille or higher BAC) is prohibited and is punishable by heavy fines. To reduce the risk of injury, wearing a helmet is compulsory for everyone (regardless of age, on all ski runs, in snow parks and on toboggan runs). Cross-country skiing fans can explore the well-groomed cross-country trails at the Pietro Scola cross-country centre, which extends across the famous Falcade plateau. Here you will find first-class groomed cross-country trails and enjoy beautiful views of the Dolomites.
As an alternative to skiing, snow lovers can go ice skating, snowmobiling or snow tubing in Falcade. Art lovers should plan a visit to the Augusto Murer Museum, which is dedicated to the artist of the same name. A visit to the numerous "tabías" is also definitely worthwhile.
