Ski area Val di Fassa-Carezza

With the "Val di Fassa - Carezza" lift pass, you have access to approx. 110 kilometres of piste that are connected with about 39 lifts between 1,200 - 2,625 m in the Alba, Canazei, Campitello, Karersee, Pozza and Vigo areas. Numerous freeride and deep snow areas as well as predominantly pistes of intermediate difficulty. Hardcore ski fans can enjoy the black pistes, such as the famous "Tomba" near Ciampedie or the illuminated pistes at Pozza for night skiing fans!

The local ski area of Campitello is to be found at the Buffaure (2,485 m). Here 16 km of mainly intermediate pistes await you. The sunny, wide pistes are great for pleasure skiers and snowboarders. Certainly worth recommending is the long valley slope to Pozza, that will enchant you with its wonderful panorama. Another highlight is the "Panoramica" forest slope. Pozza is, with its black Aloch piste, training grounds for the Italian national ski team and a venue for the European Cup.

The "Panorama" ski tour connects the Buffaure ski area with the one in Alba di Canazei at Ciampac. The famous Sella Ronda is also easily reachable. The 40 km long day trip around the Sella Massif on skis is an absolute must for every ski fan! Numerous huts, the so-called "Rifugi", are located along the pistes and invite you relax and sunbathe.

With the "Dolomiti Superski" ski pass (upgrade available for a fee) you get access not only to the Sella Ronda, but also approx. 1,200 km of piste and 450 lifts in 12 ski areas!

Rules of conduct on ski pistes in Italy

To ensure safety on the ski slopes in Italy, stricter safety regulations have been in force since 2022. In order to use the ski areas, everyone must have liability insurance that covers damage to third parties. It will also be possible to take out this insurance on site for individual days. Drunken skiing is prohibited and punishable by heavy fines, with a maximum of 0.5 mg of alcohol per litre of blood. To reduce the risk of injury, helmets are also compulsory for all minors when skiing, snowboarding or tobogganing.

Night skiing Pozza

In Italy, several ski areas illuminate some pistes in the evening and invite you to go night skiing. The ski area Val di Fassa-Carezza is one of those night ski areas, as the approx. 1.6 km Aloch piste in the Pozza die Fassa Ski Stadium is illuminated for night skiing every Wednesday and Friday from 19:30 - 22:00. The challenging piste is mainly suitable for experienced skiers, as its level of difficulty, especially for skiing by night time, is rather high - numerous competitions in slalom, snowboarding or carving were held on this piste. With a lift pass valid for several days (Val di Fassa-Carezza, Dolomiti Super Ski or Silver), night skiing is for free. Otherwise, access to the night ski area can be acquired in resort.

Après ski Pozza

Relaxation and sociability are a top priority in Pozza! Numerous lodges and restaurants invite you in to spend a great social evening. If you'd rather fall into the night life, take a trip to neighbouring Canazei or Campitello. Various apres ski bars, such as the "Cliff" or "Paradise", as well as pubs and discos invite you in to party the night away. A tip for gourmets is the traditional Ladin cuisine, which is offered throughout Val di Fassa. Let yourself be spoilt by the light and spicy dishes, which you can enjoy to the fullest with a fine Trentino wine!

The sports options in Val di Fassa are just as numerous as the culinary choices, ranging from paragliding, kite flying, ice hockey, ice skating to bowling, tennis, squash, football and basketball. Romantics can take an evening torch hike or a horse sleigh ride. Various toboggan runs, e.g. at the Karerpass or in Alba di Canazei provide lots of fun. And if you prefer to relax after a long day on the piste, you can choose between "Dolomia" in Pozza or the "Aquarena Dòlandes" in Alba di Canazei with their 4 thermal pool landscapes.

Snowpark: Buffaure Snowpark Pozza
