Grossarltal-Dorfgastein interconnected ski areas Ski area
In Dorfgastein or Großarl, you can access the Großarltal-Dorfgastein ski area straight away. Wide slopes with modern snow-making facilities make this interconnected network of lifts, with around 70 km of runs (including ski routes), the perfect ski resort for families and leisure skiers. The Fulseck summit cable car takes you to the highest point of the ski area, where a magnificent view of the Alps awaits you at an altitude of 2,033 metres. At the Gasti Snow Park, young skiers can learn to ski in a fun and playful way on three conveyor belts, spacious practice areas, as well as on the practice lift and ski carousel. Those who can already ski and want to venture off-piste have a variety of ski routes to choose from.
In total, the Gastein Valley offers three ski areas – the Dorfgastein-Großarltal and Schlossalm-Angertal-Stubnerkogel ski regions, as well as Sportgastein – whose diverse and perfectly interconnected facilities are sure to delight all winter sports enthusiasts.
With the "Ski amadé" lift pass, you have access to a total of around 760 kilometres of slopes (including ski routes) and approximately 223 lifts! The Gastein ski region is part of Ski amadé and, with around 181 kilometres of slopes (including ski routes) and 36 lifts, is one of the largest and most beautiful ski regions in the Salzburg region. Thanks to its impressive altitude (up to 2,650 m) and a large number of modern snow-making systems, excellent snow conditions usually prevail here well into spring.

Après ski in Grossarltal-Dorfgastein interconnected ski areas
Both party-goers and those seeking peace and quiet will find the right evening programme in the interconnected ski areas. Several huts in the ski area await thirsty and party-loving guests. There are also popular meeting points at the valley stations after the lifts have closed. If you still want to be active after skiing, we recommend the easy panoramic trail on the high plateau above the village. A walk with marvellous views in all directions awaits you here. Snowshoe hiking from the Fulseck to the Arltörl middle station is also possible.
Dorfgastein has something for everyone with activities such as Bavarian curling, ice skating or a ride on a horse-drawn sleigh. The solar bath invites you to swim, take a sauna and relax.
History buffs can visit Klammstein Castle at the entrance to the valley near Dorfgastein, which has an exhibition on the development of the castle. Families should not miss out on a visit to the castle either: Exciting ghost tours are offered for little spooky fans. Finally, rustic inns and pubs invite you to round off the evening with a cosy get-together.

Snowpark Grossarltal-Dorfgastein interconnected ski areas: Snowpark & Funslope Grossarltal
On the Grossarl side of the interconnected ski areas, at the Panoramabahn mountain station, there is a very well-equipped snow park. It is approx. 500 metres long and is generously equipped with kickers, a butterbox, rainbow butterbox and mushroom, among other things. Beginners can also try their hand at a special easy line here. Right next door is the Funslope with tunnels and steep turns, which can be reached via the Kreuzhöhe tow lift.
