Ski area Grossarltal-Dorfgastein interconnected ski areas

In Dorfgastein, you can directly access the interconnected ski areas of Grossarltal-Dorfgastein, which leads across to Grossarltal. Modern snow-covered, wide pistes make the lift network with approx. 70 km of descent (incl. ski routes) a perfect family and leisure ski area. The Fulseck summit lift takes you to the highest point of the interconnected ski areas, where a great view of the Alps awaits you at an altitude of 2,033 metres. In the Gasti snow park, children can learn to ski in a fun way on three conveyor belts, extensive practice areas, a practice lift and a ski carousel. Those who can already ski and want to venture off-piste have various ski routes to choose from.

In total, four ski areas await you in the Gastein Valley with the Dorfgastein-Großarltal and Schlossalm-Angertal-Stubnerkogel interconnected ski areas, the Graukogel and Sportgastein, which make the hearts of all winter sports enthusiasts beat faster with their diverse and perfectly networked offerings.

With the "Ski amadé" lift pass, you have a total of approx. 760 kilometres of piste (incl. ski routes) and approx. 223 lift systems at your disposal! The Gastein ski region is part of Ski amadé and is one of the largest and most beautiful ski regions in Salzburger Land with around 195 kilometres of pistes (incl. ski routes) and 39 lift systems. Thanks to the impressive altitude (up to 2,650 metres) and a large number of modern snow-making facilities, excellent snow conditions usually prevail here until spring.

Après ski Dorfgastein

Both party-goers and those seeking peace and quiet will find the right evening programme in the interconnected ski areas. Several huts in the ski area await thirsty and party-loving guests. There are also popular meeting points at the valley stations after the lifts have closed. If you still want to be active after skiing, we recommend the easy panoramic trail on the high plateau above the village. A walk with marvellous views in all directions awaits you here. Snowshoe hiking from the Fulseck to the Arltörl middle station is also possible.

Dorfgastein has something for everyone with activities such as Bavarian curling, ice skating or a ride on a horse-drawn sleigh. The solar bath invites you to swim, take a sauna and relax.

History buffs can visit Klammstein Castle at the entrance to the valley near Dorfgastein, which has an exhibition on the development of the castle. Families should not miss out on a visit to the castle either: Exciting ghost tours are offered for little spooky fans. Finally, rustic inns and pubs invite you to round off the evening with a cosy get-together.

Snowpark: Snowpark & Funslope Grossarltal Dorfgastein

On the Grossarl side of the interconnected ski areas, at the Panoramabahn mountain station, there is a very well-equipped snowpark. It is approx. 500 metres long and is generously equipped with kickers, a butterbox, rainbow butterbox and mushroom, among other things. Beginners can also try their hand at a special easy line here. Right next door is the Funslope with tunnels and steep turns, which can be reached via the Kreuzhöhe tow lift.
