Cross-country Riezlern

Approx. 75 km of cross-country trails await you in Kleinwalsertal! They are spread over three routes, most of which are categorised as easy to moderately difficult. The longest trail is the Steinbock cross-country trail with a length of approx. 15 km, on which approx. 5 km are suitable for skating-style skiing and is also partially snow-covered from December. The Schwende cross-country trail is also a decent trail at approx. 12 km, on which you can skate for around 2.5 km. The Küren-Wäldele-Egg cross-country trail offers another 17 km of cross-country skiing fun. Use of the cross-country trails is free with the Kleinwalsertal guest card.

Biathlon enthusiasts can also try out the dual Nordic sport in Riezlern. At the Alpengasthof Hörnlepass there is a facility with a taster shooting range, a biathlon circuit and a circuit for penalty laps. Taster days for beginners are also organised here.

An interesting concept is also offered by the "Vitalwege Walser Omgang" exercise and vitality programme, which is also applied to the cross-country trails in winter. The trails provide various stimuli for "activation", "balance" and "regeneration" of the body during cross-country skiing.
